About the role
Are you a finance professional who combines sharp analytical thinking with a genuine passion for business? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your insights directly shape strategic decisions? If so, this is your opportunity to make a real impact at L'Oréal.
As FP&A Manager PPD Canada, you will be a cornerstone of the PPD Canada finance team — serving as a key business partner for the division. You will drive financial performance oversight, deliver high-quality strategic analysis to the Division Administrative & Financial Director (DAF), and act as a critical bridge between Finance and the broader business. Your work will be visible, influential, and essential to the division's sucess.
🎯 Role Purpose
You will bring financial clarity, analytical rigor, and strategic perspective to PPD Canada's leadership team — enabling smarter decisions, faster course corrections, and stronger business outcomes across all brands and functions within the division.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis PPD Canada Business Sharing: Coordinate and consolidate financial data to facilitate high-quality business sharing sessions, ensuring full transparency, consistency, and alignment across PPD Canada's brand and functional teams. Finance ManCom Analysis: Prepare and present strategic financial deep-dives for PPD Canada's Management Committee, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers. P&L Analysis & Oversight: Take full ownership of PPD Canada's P&L — monitoring performance against targets with precision, proactively identifying variances, investigating root causes, and recommending corrective actions to protect and improve financial outcomes. Valorization & Gross Margin: Analyze and model the key drivers of Gross Margin and valorization (price, mix, and volume effects) across the division's portfolio, identifying opportunities to protect and enhance profitability. Flash Presentation: Deliver compelling, insight-rich financial presentations for the monthly Flash — combining rigorous analysis with high-quality storytelling to inform and influence leadership. Flash Reporting & Closing: Lead the monthly closing process end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial reporting deliverables. CAREX & Prospective CA-REX Management: Oversee Net Sales and Profit tracking within the CAREX framework, ensuring all investments are aligned with divisional strategy and performance targets. Provide early warning signals and recommendations as soon as deviations are identified. Multi-Brand Prospective: Drive the annual prospective (forecast) process across all PPD Canada brands — synthesizing brand-level inputs into a coherent, forward-looking view of the division's financial trajectory. Challenge assumptions, stress-test scenarios, and ensure the prospective reflects both ambition and realism. Financial "Animation" & Stakeholder Engagement Community Management & Business Partnership: Animate and energize the PPD Canada finance and business communities, fostering a culture of financial literacy, collaboration, and shared accountability. Act as a trusted advisor and go-to finance partner for brand and commercial teams, translating financial data into business-relevant language that drives action. Cross-Functional Influence: Build strong, trust-based relationships with BEST, the CFO office, zone finance stakeholders, and key internal clients — positioning Finance as a true strategic partner to the business.
👤 What We Are Looking For
Controlling & FP&A Background: Solid experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or business finance, ideally within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or retail environment. Strong Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to structure, perform, and communicate financial analyses — covering monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles with confidence and precision. Business Orientation: A genuine interest in business beyond the numbers — with strong skills in business planning, scenario modeling, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Communication & Interpersonal Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively to both finance and non-finance audiences. Collaborative Team Player: A natural collaborator with a strong emphasis on teamwork, an internal customer-focused mindset, and the ability to build effective partnerships across diverse teams and hierarchies. Agility & Resilience: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and delivering high-quality outputs in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. Bilingualism: Proficiency in both French and English is a strong asset in the Canadian market context.
