About the role

Who we are
You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. What we’re trying to say is that we’re a large and growing professional services firm that still feels like a community. We employ about 3000 people across Canada, and we truly care about our colleagues, our clients and the communities where we work and live. That’s what’s most important to us. We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.

As the Senior Manager, Business Transformation – AI Enablement, you will be joining the Business Transformation team to support initiatives that are at the forefront of shaping and building the future of our Firm. Your role will be pivotal in delivering AI transformation programs focused on growth and delivering an exceptional experience for our clients and colleagues.

Reporting to the Director, Business Transformation – AI Enablement, you will be a core member of the Firm’s AI Centre of Enablement, partnering closely with People & Culture, Technology, Data, Privacy/Legal, and business leaders. You will act as a workflow, process, and enablement subject matter expert - helping translate AI opportunities into scalable value through consistent frameworks, playbooks, and adoption practices.

This is a Business Transformation role focused on process, change management, and enablement - not a technical or AI engineering role.

As a Senior Manager, Business Transformation – AI Enablement, your responsibilities will include:

  • Executable Standards & Frameworks to Scale Innovation: Design and evolve the AI CoE’s implementation standards, guardrails, and playbooks so teams can experiment and deploy AI consistently, safely, and repeatably across the Firm.
  • Use Case Intake, Prioritization & Benefits Realization: Lead structured intake and triage of AI opportunities; shape problem statements and success metrics; support prioritization recommendations; and establish mechanisms to track and report realized benefits post-implementation.
  • Workflow Redesign: Lead end-to-end process redesign efforts to reimagine the way that we work leveraging AI solutions to augment the value we provide to our clients and colleagues.
  • Responsible AI by Design: Partner with Technology, Data, Privacy/Legal to incorporate the appropriate governance frameworks to ensure responsible AI practices.
  • Playbooks, Templates & Toolkits: Create practical toolkits to drive alignment across the organization and enable scalable innovation.
  • Implementation Planning & Change Execution: Design implementation plans that address people/process/technology impacts, partnering with our People and Culture teams on AI literacy and skills and communication plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish feedback loops to refine AI delivery workflows over time, capturing lessons learned and driving iterative improvements as adoption scales.

And when all this comes together, well that’s when the magic happens!
