Position Details

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transfer Specialist to join the Admissions & Transfer team within Student Enrolment & Registrar Services at the University of Lethbridge. Reporting to the Manager, Admissions & Transfer, the Transfer Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating transfer credit evaluation, supporting learner pathways, and contributing to student mobility and success.

This position supports internal and external stakeholders by coordinating transfer credit assessments (including international, out-of-province, exchange, and immersion programs), creating and maintaining accurate transfer data records, and advising on policy and best practices. The Transfer Specialist serves as a key contact for inquiries regarding transfer credit policies, decisions, and articulation agreements.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and manage transfer credit evaluation requests and workflow with faculty departments, and subject matter experts.

  • Monitor and document course equivalencies in university systems, ensuring data accuracy and policy compliance.

  • Provide guidance and support to applicants, students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders on transfer credit procedures and institutional practices.

  • Conduct research into international and external credit systems to ensure appropriate credit assignment.

  • Support ACAT (Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer) processes and maintain articulation agreements.

  • Participate in institutional events and collaborative projects as a representative of the Transfer team.

Position Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years related experience in a post-secondary setting, preferably in a transfer credit articulation role, with proven intercultural communication skills and demonstrated commitment to providing inclusive and student-centred service.

We are looking for a candidate who is detail oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills, and effective time management. This position is collaborative, and the ability to work well in a team-based environment, and to maintain effective working relationships with members of the University community is essential. A high level of computer proficiency and experience working in a Student Information System is required, and experience using BANNER is preferred.

Our ideal candidate will be familiar with University of Lethbridge programs and academic regulations, and will also have a good understanding of domestic and international post-secondary education systems, including accreditation standards, grading and transfer credit policies.

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$4,691.00 - $5,246.00 monthly

Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$4,691.00 - $5,799.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 10)
