Osler is seeking an Employment Services & Recruitment Coordinator to join our Legal Talent team. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of associate employment services and coordinates full-cycle recruitment for associates, helping to attract, hire, and support legal professionals.

Major Responsibilities:
- Administering a range of employment services for legal professionals, such as contract renewals, secondments, transfers, status changes, leaves, and departures
- Maintaining talent management policies and resources by updating and managing national talent management policies, protocols, templates, and checklists for legal professionals, ensuring all materials on the internal intranet are accurate and up to date
- Coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding associates
- Maintaining personnel files, databases, and email distribution lists to ensure accurate and organized records
- Coordinating the national Advisor and Peer Mentor program for associates across all offices.
- Planning and organizing team-building activities and events for legal professionals to foster engagement and collaboration
- Administering the firm’s annual Foundation Program for first-year associates
- Supporting the annual mid-year and year-end performance review processes for legal professionals
- Acting as a key point of contact for legal professionals regarding policies and related inquiries
- Liaising with legal professionals and Legal Talent teams in other offices to address employment services and recruitment matters to ensure consistency
- Assisting with various projects and programs aimed at supporting and enhancing the experience of legal professionals
- Performing other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
This position requires a post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline with a minimum of one year of relevant experience ideally gained in professional services or a law firm. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
Knowledge and Skills
- Pro-active self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team
- Stellar organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills
- Writing and proofreading skills with the ability to create reports, memos, presentation material and employment agreements
- Client service oriented with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Technologically savvy with proficiency in the full Microsoft Suite and Outlook. Experience with SharePoint, VI Desktop, AI Platforms and UKG an asset.
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
Compensation
The range of expected compensation for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
