Role Description The Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. This position is responsible for coordinating the full recruitment cycle for care staff, including posting job openings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and supporting onboarding processes. The Coordinator maintains accurate candidate and employee records, prepares recruitment-related documentation, and ensures compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing outreach and engagement initiatives to attract qualified candidates, supporting employer branding efforts, and collaborating with leadership to identify staffing needs. The role also involves regular communication with team members and candidates, organizing engagement activities, and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Qualifications Experience in recruitment coordination, talent acquisition, or human resources within healthcare, home care, or a related service environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, staff, and community partners. Organizational and time management abilities, including managing multiple open roles, deadlines, and documentation with attention to detail. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HR software, and standard office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing). Understanding of basic employment regulations and recruitment best practices, with a focus on equitable and inclusive hiring. Demonstrated commitment to person-centered care, respect for diverse backgrounds, and sensitivity to the needs of seniors and their families. Ability to work on-site in Calgary, AB, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing priorities in a growing organization. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in engagement initiatives such as staff recognition, retention programs, or community outreach is an asset.
