About The Role We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Change Management Specialist to provide strategic support for Children and Family Services (CFS) priority initiatives focused on data and digital strategy. Our ideal candidate excels at creating comprehensive change management strategies, stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and training programs to transition stakeholders from current to future states. They will lead change initiatives from analysis through execution, collaborating with project teams, business areas, leadership, vendors, and cross-ministry stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of data-driven transformations.
This remote role with the Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance and Business Supports (RQB) Division's Program Information, Evaluation and Performance (PIEP) Branch requires strong project planning, risk management, and executive communication skills. The specialist must develop project schedules, communication strategies, training activities, and progress reporting while identifying risks, barriers, and opportunities throughout multiple concurrent CFS initiatives.
Reporting to project leads and senior leadership, this position drives organizational change to support Alberta's data and digital transformation objectives.
What You'll Do
Create and execute change management strategies for CFS data/digital priority initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic support to Program Information, Evaluation and Performance Branch.
- Develop change management strategies/recommendations for ministry priority initiatives.
- Create project plans, presentations, content for change initiative analysis/execution.
- Collaborate with business areas to develop schedules, resource estimates, work plans.
- Work with sponsors, teams, stakeholders, vendors, cross-ministry groups on change activities.
- Contribute to risk/issues identification and response strategies.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis, change impact/readiness assessments.
- Support business analysts with communication strategies, schedules, training activities.
- Report progress to project leads/senior leadership; identify issues/risks/barriers.
- Communicate with all stakeholders; plan/facilitate leadership meetings.
- Monitor projects/change management with escalation strategies.

- Location: 9940 - 106 ST, Edmonton, Alberta (Remote)
- Hours: 7.25 hours per day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Alberta time, Mon-Fri, 1-hour lunch)

- Start Date: March 16, 2026
- End Date: March 15, 2027 (12-month maximum extension)
