About the role
Position Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks or from pallets, trays, storage racks, conveyors, and machines
- Enter transactions into computer system or catalog
- Maintain First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory system
- Ensure all counts and shipping documents accurately represent material and product being shipped and received before signing
- Sort and place materials in predetermined storage locations in the warehouse or plant
- Report material shortages to purchasing agent or warehouse supervisor
- Ensure all overnight and ground shipments are processed daily
- Accurately count and record material and product during physical inventories and audits
- Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures, maintain neat and orderly work areas
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0 – 1+ years of general work experience
- Ability to read and understand the English language
- Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess basic math skills
- Ability to learn to operate powered lift trucks and other material movers
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
- Must be a team player and maintain appropriate attendance standard
