About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Purchaser will be responsible for processing purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, maintaining inventory data, and supporting internal teams through accurate and timely procurement operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly transactional environment and enjoys working both independently and collaboratively.
The successful applicant will:
- Set up and update item/vendor records in the ERP system.
- Process purchase orders, expedite rush orders, and resolve discrepancies.
- Create return-to-vendor orders and support customer part inquiries.
- Manage work orders (e.g., kits, testers) and generate reports.
- Enter landed costs, edit inventory transactions, and maintain item data.
- Participate in meetings, training, and provide backup support.
We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- Up to 5 years’ experience in purchasing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Great Plains or similar) and data accuracy management.
- Strong Excel skills; Great Plains or NetSuite a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and handle confidential data.
