This course introduces fundamental Machine Learning concepts from a hands-on perspective, rather than mathematical derivations and theoretical proofs. Students will learn to code and implement Machine Learning models in Python and Jupyter notebooks, to provide tangible solutions for clinical, biomanufacturing, and engineering problems. Focus is placed on intuitive understanding of each model, as well as the suitability, feasibility, and limitations of each technique. No exams are required! The final grade will be decided by individual performance in bi-weekly assignments and a midterm project, as well as team-based performance in a final project.
