ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a leading Canadian private education organization in the early years sector, serving children from ages one to five. Established for more than 25 years and headquartered in Vancouver, the organization has grown from a single school into a network across North America, built on a proprietary, award-winning curriculum that pairs core academics such as reading, writing, math, science and STEM. With fine arts including drama, music, dance and yoga. Trusted by families for over two decades and expanding through partnership across Canada and the United States, this is a premium, purpose-driven education brand entering its next phase of growth. The organization is now seeking a Content Lead to own its brand voice, content strategy, and editorial standard across every audience it serves. The identity of our client will be shared with shortlisted candidates. This search is being conducted on a strictly confidential basis.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a role for a writer who thinks like a strategist. Reporting to the marketing leadership team, the Content Lead owns content strategy, editorial planning, and end-to-end content creation across three distinct audiences: families choosing where their child begins their education, partners evaluating a business investment, and corporate stakeholders backing a scaling brand. You will own the content calendar, the messaging framework, and the editorial bar for a brand where credibility is everything, translating decades of educational authority into content that ranks in search, resonates with parents, and converts. You will work hand in hand with design, SEO, digital marketing, operations, and senior leadership, and your work will directly influence both family enrolment and network growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Write website copy, blog articles, social media content, video scripts, email campaigns, podcast content, and educational materials.

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Maintain consistency in premium brand positioning and messaging.
  • Contribute to PR initiatives, media materials, feature articles, and press releases.

SEO & Performance Optimization

  • Apply SEO best practices to all written content — keyword research, on-page optimization, and search intent alignment.
  • Partner with SEO and digital marketing teams to improve organic search performance.
  • Analyze content performance and optimize messaging, topics, and formats against results.
  • Support testing and optimization of email and paid media copy.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE — FIRST 12 MONTHS

  • A documented brand voice and messaging framework adopted consistently across all channels and audiences.
  • An annual content calendar operating on schedule, with monthly planning embedded across brand, growth, and corporate teams.
