The Public Guardian and Trustee of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly organized, energetic individual with excellent organizational and prioritization skills to perform asset administration duties for the safekeeping and management of the client trust assets.
In this position, you will be responsible for setting up client trust assets from initial investigation reports, gathering and compiling information relevant to client trust asset values, ensuring all required client trust asset values are updated on an annual basis, recording trust asset addition and disposal transactions on individual client accounts, maintaining a ledger of assets stored in the onsite vault, recording additions and disposals from the vault and ensuring any items removed are signed out prior to being released or taken off-site for appraisal. This position is also responsible for assisting the Field Representatives with the creation or renewal of agricultural land leases and setting up banking information for clients, and service providers to facilitate electronic payments to their bank accounts.
Our candidate of choice will have strong accounting and computer skills, knowledge of office and filing procedures, and the knowledge and ability to prepare and compose correspondence using clear and concise language, experience with reviewing and interpreting financial investment statements from a variety of financial services providers, and experience processing transactions in a high-volume processing environment.
You must be able to reference, interpret and apply regulations and policies as required.
Typically, the knowledge, competencies and experience required for this position are obtained through completion of a two-year diploma level education in accounting or business administration with related accounting work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
