Responsibilities
Tasks
Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team Coordinate patient care Evaluate patient care and progress Implement an interdisciplinary plan of care Interpret medical test results Order medical diagnostic or clinical tests Plan patient care Advise patients on drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs Ensure infection control Advise patients on health care Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases Provide health maintenance education
Credentials
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work
