About the role

About The Company

A Montreal-based international food products marketing and distribution company has been operating for over 30 years under consistent founder ownership. The business sources premium olive and avocado oils globally, overseeing branding, packaging, and quality at origin, and delivers to some of the largest retailers in North America and Asia. An early relationship with one of the world's leading retailers has since grown into one of the most enduring vendor partnerships in the category.

The company's edge is a proprietary ability to forecast Spanish olive crop yields well ahead of the market. This, combined with a deliberate policy of only working with retailers who share the same quality philosophy. Avocado oil, added to their offering a decade ago, has become a significant growth driver. Top-line revenue has roughly doubled over the past seven years. The team is approximately 20 people, flat, with no account or product silos.

The Role

The company is adding a Business Development Manager to capture growth opportunities the current team cannot fully pursue. Compensation: Competitive and calibrated to experience Performance upside: Structured bonus tied to outcomes Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and insurance coverage; generous time-off policy Travel: Monthly domestic customer trips once ramped; twice-yearly producer visits to Italy and Spain Growth: Direct access to the founder and senior leadership; strong performance opens the door to broader commercial leadership

About Sales Talent Agency

Staffing and Recruiting
51-200 employees

Winning a category requires moving many mountains. Two of the biggest are building a legendary product and a legendary GTM team. Both are incredibly difficult, but you can’t win without them.

GTM team building is our craft. For 20 years, we’ve focused on just one thing: helping you build the GTM team that makes your product fly. More than 2,000 customers later, we’ve got the repetitions. We’ve experimented more than anyone in our space, and we’ve learned what others simply haven’t had the time or focus to discover.

What we’ve learned is that there is no single shortcut to an advantage. We wish there were, but hard problems rarely have easy solutions. The only real edge comes from doing a hundred small things perfectly, each and every time. That’s what mastery demands, and we are no exception.

It wasn’t always this cutthroat. But today, in the age of AI, no single strength can carry you; the market is just too competitive. A great network without domain knowledge leads to bland conversations. Domain knowledge without a network leads to great stories told into the abyss. And lacking recruitment mastery means a search without focus or rhythm, which ultimately leads to a B team.

But world-class GTM teams can be built. It requires an uncompromising focus on executing every single detail perfectly. That’s the only way to win, and it’s the only thing we care about.
