About the role
Please Note As part of the mandatory training for this position, candidates must be able to travel to the United States for a 3-week training program. Valid travel documentation is required.
Job Summary As a Customer Service Agent, you are the first impression of a passenger’s airport experience. This role includes checking in and ticketing passengers, escorting passengers to and from aircraft, and resolving customer concerns. The position requires excellent customer service skills, proficient computer use, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a professional and positive image at all times.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner, both in person and over the phone
- Announce incoming and outbound flights
- Accurately handle credit card and personal check transactions and complete airline close-out procedures
- Accept and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs and place items on conveyor belts
- Operate jetways and assist with opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors
- Use airline computer systems for ticketing, boarding, flight information, baggage claims, and cargo tracking
- Stand and work in one location for up to four hours at a time
- Escort unaccompanied minors and assist passengers with disabilities as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
- Entry-level computer skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift items weighing between 50 and 70 lbs
- Must pass an extensive post-offer, pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and criminal history check as required by federal law
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel to the United States for a 3-week training program
- Valid documentation to travel to the United States
- Reliable personal transportation required (shifts may end after 1:00 AM)
