Reporting to the EVP Finance & System CFO, this role provides financial management, analysis, planning, reporting, and decision-support services to Corporate Office leaders and finance partners. The successful candidate will serve as a key finance business partner, helping leaders understand financial results, monitor budgets and forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and support effective resource management in alignment with organizational priorities, accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements. Job Summary: The Finance Business Manager, System Corporate Office provides financial management, analysis, and decision‑support services for the System Corporate Office. Reporting to the EVP Finance & System CFO, the Finance Business Manager is accountable for the preparation and monitoring of operating budgets, month‑end and quarterly financial reporting, year‑end audit support, and ongoing financial analysis related to Corporate Office activities. Working closely with Corporate Office leaders and Shared Services Finance colleagues, the role functions as the primary finance business partner, supporting effective resource management, financial planning, and informed decision‑making. The Finance Business Manager ensures financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities - Act as the primary finance contact for the System Corporate Office, providing advice and guidance on budget management, financial performance, and resource utilization. - Prepare and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting activities, including variance analysis and management commentary. - Coordinate the annual Corporate Office operating budget process and support forecasting, financial planning, staffing requests, initiatives, and business cases. - Review transactions, journal entries, and balances to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and internal controls. - Prepare schedules, analyses, and documentation in support of year-end audit requirements and respond to internal and external audit inquiries. - Work collaboratively with Corporate Office leaders, Shared Services Finance colleagues, Corporate Accounting, and FP&A teams to support consolidated reporting and process improvement. - Provide functional guidance and support to Financial Analysts and other finance staff supporting Corporate Office portfolios. Qualifications - Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required. - Chartered Professional Accountant designation required. - Eight to ten years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. - Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes. - Experience providing finance support to operational, corporate, or senior leaders. - Healthcare or broader public-sector experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Practical knowledge of Not-for Profit and Public Sector Accounting Standards and financial reporting practices. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial modelling, and variance analysis skills. - Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable advice for non-financial stakeholders. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a complex environment. - Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and build trusted working relationships. - Commitment to accuracy, accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
