Description Opportunity Overview
Our client, the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) , is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support its Technology Services group. This role focuses on managing complex IT initiatives with a strong emphasis on IT Service Management (ITSM), ServiceNow, cloud migrations, and SaaS implementations , while ensuring organizational readiness, stakeholder alignment, and effective change management.
This is a staff augmentation / contract opportunity supporting ongoing and planned initiatives within a public-sector environment.
Key Details Key Detail Role: Project Manager (Level 3)
Service Stream: Staff Augmentation Services
Start Date: On or about February 16, 2026
Initial End Date: December 31, 2026
Extension Options: Up to two (2) additional one-year option periods
Work Location: Primarily remote (with potential future on-site requirements in Ottawa or Toronto)
Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Leading the full project lifecycle from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters
- Defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and visual artifacts
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests
- Facilitating regular project status meetings and preparing clear, concise progress reports
- Coordinating cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performance delivery environment
- Supporting organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities
- Assisting with process engineering and business architecture efforts to ensure alignment with ServiceNow and ITSM capabilities
- Conducting post-implementation reviews and capturing lessons learned to improve future project delivery
Required Qualifications Education & Certifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification (required)
Experience
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager , preferably within a government or public-sector environment
- Demonstrated delivery experience with one or more of the following:
- IT Service Management (ITSM)
- ServiceNow implementations or enhancements
- Cloud migration initiatives
- SaaS implementations
Security Requirements
- Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Reliability Status security clearance
