Responsibilities
Supporting the well being of individuals with developmental disabilities by participating in helping the individuals achieve their goals, creating natural supports in their community, role modelling, recreational activities, personal care, implementation of programs that help support individuals' growth, problem solving and daily documentation.
Requirements
- Clear Police Clearance (Vulnerable Sector Check and 6 months or newer) is required.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
- Access to and use of a vehicle for all shifts with a minimum of $1,000,000 insurance and with the ability to transport clients is required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- First aid and CPR, Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT), medication delivery, abuse reporting protocol would be an asset but if the candidate does not have this specific training, it will be provided.
- Previous experience would be an asset.
