Flexible Work Agreement Type Hybrid / Hybride Posting End Date 2026-07-06 Job Grade ATT-0 Pay Range $48,164 - $49,610 Job Summary The primary role of the Land Use Specialist is to assume responsibility for duties associated with the timely collection of pertinent data to support the assessment of Land Use Proposals by NAV CANADA for impacts to the Air Navigation System (ANS). Key Accountabilities: Collects, assesses, verifies, and stores data provided in Land Use proposals. Verifies data to meet accuracy, resolution, and integrity requirements. Ensures that all necessary documentation is included in the proposals. Assumes responsibility for oversight of individual submission instances including transformation of proposal data, verification against requirements, and dissemination to internal and external stakeholders. Collects, compiles, and distills stakeholder evaluations into a consolidated response for transmission to the proponent. Analyze situations and identify and resolve problems. Involved in key team initiatives for continuous improvement of the Land Use processes and in initial and recurrent training. Initiating and/or contributing to Business Management Systems (BMS) reports. Providing subject matter expertise in Land Use initiatives. Supports the supervisor in updating Work instructions and process manual. Participate in and provide feedback concerning educational materials for people and projects in the AIM Community. Participates in training activities or performs on-the-job instruction. Supports and participates in projects, program initiatives, studies, and research. May be assigned other duties as required. Job Requirements Education: Successful completion of post-secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. Experience: Experience with MS Office suite of applications. Experience working within the aviation industry. Experience in the process of collecting and verifying data according to required specifications/metrics from multiple sources (internal and external), preferably in the AIM environment. Experience in leading or participating in projects. Experience in the area of production and/or data management. Experience in customer service and/or relations. Knowledge: Knowledge of the Canadian Air Navigation System. Knowledge of Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) and related products. General knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations and of the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices applicable to AIM. Knowledge of project and workflow management. Knowledge of land survey techniques and tools. Knowledge of navigational aids and aviation terminology. Knowledge of aeronautical information products. Abilities: Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Organization and time management skills. Problem solving skills. Attention to detail. The interpersonal skill required to create and work in a cooperative productive work environment. The ability to maintain attention to detail over prolonged periods. Personal Suitability: Communicate complex technical information both verbally and in writing to both internal and external clients. Collaboration and conflict resolution skills required when dealing with both internal and external clients and stakeholders. Initiative – the willingness to assess a situation and take action. Flexible work arrangements: This position is a hybrid position with a minimum – 3 day(s) per week on site. Pay Range: Training (ATT-0): $49,609. Qualified (ATT-5): $91,148. The Trainee level of pay (ATT-0) for new hires will apply for the first 90 calendar days for AIM trainees, after which time the employee shall be paid the full position rate (ATT-5).
