JOB SUMMARY: Lantic is currently hiring for the position of Maintenance Planner at the Montreal refinery. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance work, as well as planned production shutdowns. The Planner will actively participate in prioritizing work orders with other departments. They will also monitor the regular maintenance budget and justify project requests for equipment as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate maintenance, modifications, and project work in collaboration with the operations department;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of an active preventive maintenance program and ensure its distribution according to established frequencies and its completion;
  • Take on systems automation as a main responsibility in order to quickly obtain performance indicators for the maintenance department;
  • Implement simple tools with the IT department to allow trade employees to close work orders directly;
  • Collect, compile, and analyze performance data related to maintenance, equipment breakdowns, work completed, etc.;
  • Participate in the development and training of unionized staff and maintenance supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a college diploma (DEC) or vocational diploma (DEP) in a field related to maintenance;
  • Five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management (CMMS) software;
  • Knowledge of Maximo software (an asset);
  • Experience in the food industry (an asset);
  • Experience in a unionized environment (an asset);
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt easily to change;
  • Ability to manage stress;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
