About the role

Position Overview:*****

The Director, Marketing Communications and Brand is responsible for shaping and executing the Xplore brand strategy and integrated communications plan. This role leads the development of compelling narratives, creative campaigns, and consistent messaging across all channels to elevate brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a passionate storyteller with deep experience in brand building and multi-channel marketing.

Key responsibilities include:

Brand Strategy & Stewartship

  • Define and evolve the brand identity, positioning, and voice across all touchpoints.
  • Ensure brand consistency across internal and external communications, campaigns, and experiences.
  • Lead brand refreshes, architecture updates, and visual identity rollouts as needed.

Integrated Marketing Communications

  • Develop and execute multi-channel communication strategies (digital, print, PR, social, experiential).
  • Oversee messaging frameworks, content calendars, and campaign narratives.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and customer experience teams to align messaging with business goals.

Team Leadership & Agency Management

  • Lead a team of marketing communications professionals and external agency partners.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, executional excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and performance metrics for brand and communications initiatives.

Content & Storytelling

  • Drive the creation of high-impact content including videos, blogs, social media, and thought leadership.
  • Champion storytelling that reflects customer needs, brand values, and market differentiation.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define KPIs for brand health, campaign performance, and audience engagement.
  • Use data and insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in brand management within the telecommunications or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, media relations, and content strategy.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience garnering buy-in from all levels of a large organization including senior leadership by leveraging your strong storytelling, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders that enable the successful co-creation of initiatives that yield positive outcomes to the business
  • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and programs efficiently
  • Results orientation, proactive bias for action
  • Strong presentation skills and a demonstrated ability in effective influencing and communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a winning culture and in positively influencing the organization.
  • Ability to balance the strategic requirements of the role with readiness to action day-to-day transactional requirements as needed.
