Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Addiction Services Manager or designate, the Nutrition Cook will ensure that nutritious and well-balanced meals are planned, prepared and provided primarily for but not exclusively, the clients accessing the Adult Residential Treatment Centre.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum one-day Food Handlers Safety course Certificate. Prefer Chef’s papers.
- Two years (2) experience in food preparation, Nutrition Cooking and/or a nutritional service related field.
- ability to work flexible hours and work at all services sites as determined and scheduled by the Nutrition Cook/Team Leader and/or Addiction Services Manager;
- must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and a personal, reliable vehicle;
- must hold a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate;
- must complete a criminal records check and child welfare check upon hiring;
- must complete a medical and receive the required immunizations as recommended by the local medical officer of health.
Hours of Work: 35 weekly
