Virtual Medical Administrative Support (1.0 FTE, Regular)
About the role
Virtual Medical Administrative Support — Pediatric Virtual Urgent Care
About the role
TVFHT is launching a 7-day Pediatric Virtual Urgent Care (VUC) service. We’re hiring Virtual Medical Administrative Support staff to provide front-line, patient-facing administrative coverage during clinic hours. You’ll ensure that families connect quickly and smoothly with our Nurse Practitioners by handling intake, scheduling, reminders, documentation, and follow-up tasks in the EMR. The hours of work will be 1:00–9:00 p.m. EST, 7 days/week (including statutory holidays).
Why this matters:
Your work will help reduce unnecessary ER visits, shorten wait times for families, and keep the virtual clinic running smoothly every evening—every day of the week.
Key must-haves:
- Telus PS Suite (PS Suite) EMR experience (required)
- Hands-on experience with virtual scheduling platforms and VOIP telephony (required)
- Healthcare admin experience (family medicine, primary care, pediatric setting an asset)
- Strong written & verbal communication; calm, professional phone manner with families
- PHIPA-aware; comfortable working in a metrics-driven, quality-improvement culture
Salary: $39,400 - $48,000 (dependent on experience)
To Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit a detailed resume. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal background check and medical screening.
To be eligible to apply you must have a Social Insurance Number and in some cases a valid work permit. While we thank all applicants, only those under consideration will be contacted for an interview.
