Position: Physio therapist/ Physical Therapist
Rehab ilitation Department Supervisor
Facility: Lamont Health Care Centre
Status: Permanent Full Time (1.00 FTE)
Position Summary: Lamont Health Care Centre is offering a full time Physiotherapist/Physical
Therapist/Rehabilitation Department Supervisor position. Join us and be a part of a positive environment

candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients and residents in acute care, long
term care and provide consultation to the emergency department. Responsible for the provision of equipment
and for required documentation and data collection in accordance with best practice standards. Will direct
Rehabilitation staff including Occupational Therapist, and therapy assistants in the provision of care.
Responsible for all administrative duties including recommending employment or termination of rehabilitation
staff, complete performance reviews and evaluations of staff members, maintaining supplies and arrange for
repairs of equipment. Responsible for attending meetings, discharge planning, conferences, participating in and
developing quality assurance/risk management programs, participating in provision of education, orientation,
accreditation, audits, department budget management, updating and writing of policies and procedures. The
candidate will be responsible for managing the activities and productivity of the Physical Therapy and
Occupational Therapy Departments, ensuring high standards of safe, effective and efficient care. The candidate
will work in concert with an Interdisciplinary team including Physicians, Nursing services, Pharmacy, Social
Work, Dietary, Recreation and Homecare to ensure that the Rehabilitation needs of patients and residents are
fully addressed in a timely manner and in accordance with best practice. The candidate will liaise with patients,
residents and families in an effort to provide patient centered goal-oriented care. A positive and outgoing
attitude is an essential asset as well as the ability to prioritize caseload, workload and manage time.
Reporting to the: Executive Director
Qualifications:

MSPT or BScPT in Physical Therapy from a recognized school
-
Holds or eligible to hold, active membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Licensed to practice in the Province of Alberta.
-
Registered member, in good standing, with Physiotherapy Alberta College and Association.
-
3-5 years’ experience in related setting
-
Carries Personal Professional Liability Practice Insurance.
-
Related computer skills. Connect Care and RAI/MDS training would be an asset
-
Must have a clear criminal record check for the vulnerable sector within 30 days prior to hire
-
Physically capable of performing patient manual lifts and carrying up to 40lbs weight.

Covid-19 full vaccination required

Ability to adhere to Lamont Health Care Centre’s Mission and Philosophy.
Hours: 1.00 FTE - Monday to Friday 0700-1515 – 7.75 hr shifts
Salary: NUEE Supervisor - rate based on HSAA Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and experience and/or letter of
portability.
