About the role

Summary

Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician will play a hands-on role in supporting shop and yard operations. This position involves working with tools, equipment, and systems, with responsibilities that include tool repair, basic electrical work, and general shop and yard maintenance.

The ideal candidate brings integrity, commitment, and creativity to help drive our organization forward. This role is based in Calgary, Alberta.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain tools and equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Perform minor electrical tasks and support electrical troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Assist with shop and yard maintenance, including equipment setup, organization, and general upkeep.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool and equipment repairs.
  • Support production teams with daily operational needs.
  • Follow company safety standards and procedures at all times.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with tool repair and maintenance.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safe electrical practices.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, shop, or yard environment preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality.

  • Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).

  • Ability to work overtime or shift work as required.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and D&A test is required for this position.
