About the role
The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is a national research facility of the University of Saskatchewan. CLS produces very bright light to explore the nature and structure of molecules, and serves national and international users from academia, industry, and government institutions.
CLSI is now accepting applications for a Finance Manager position who will oversee our financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, payroll, and supply chain management functions at CLSI. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for these functional areas and ensures their effective integration across the organization.
We are seek a lead who engages with their team to support the delivery of professional finance services to CLS staff and management, the CLS Board, and external stakeholders. Our goal is to foster a client-centric approach that drives high levels of client satisfaction and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management, including the systems required for their administration.
- Oversees supply chain management, including procurement for the facility, and the systems required for their administration.
- Oversees operating and capital budgeting and forecasting, including short, medium, and long-term preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as monitoring actual results against budget.
- Oversees corporate reporting requirements and protocols, including internal reporting to CLS leadership and external reporting to the CLS Board, the University of Saskatchewan, funding partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A relevant undergraduate degree.
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience, with previous supervisory/management experience.
- A CPA or other relevant professional designation.
- Previous project management experience.
Salary Range: The salary range is for this position is up to $147,288. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
