Role Overview: We are hiring a Policy Consultant for a contract role to develop, refine, and advise on policy frameworks for a technology platform operating in the artificial intelligence sector. This position requires expertise in interpreting and shaping policies that govern AI systems, ensuring compliance with global standards while supporting scalable deployment. The work directly influences the governance of AI tools and their integration into diverse applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze global AI policy trends, regulations, and best practices to inform internal policy development.
- Draft and revise policy documents, including guidelines for responsible AI use, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with legal, product, and engineering teams to align technical implementations with applicable policies and ethical standards.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify policy gaps and propose mitigations for AI-driven products and services.
- Provide policy consultation to stakeholders on matters related to AI ethics, regulatory compliance, and industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in AI policy, regulatory compliance, or legal advisory within technology environments, with a focus on artificial intelligence systems.
- Knowledge of international data protection laws, AI ethics guidelines, and industry-specific regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, or sector-specific AI frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex policy concepts into actionable guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to conduct independent research and synthesize findings into clear policy recommendations and documentation.
- Familiarity with AI development processes, including model training, deployment, and lifecycle management, to ensure policy relevance.
