Responsibilities
- Welcome clients, families, and visitors to TVCC. Monitor and accept appointments on arrival, and share supporting information (i.e., parking, directions)
- Limit access to the building and re-direct general public
- Operate a multi-line phone system; receive and direct incoming calls, request additional information from callers as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Support the volunteer mail delivery program
- Support the Emergency Response system; accept calls to the emergency line and activate centre- wide response procedures
- Receive and direct maintenance requests and service contractors to the FR team
- Support incoming and outgoing equipment in cooperation with relevant programs
- Perform administrative duties such as managing the Reception Resource Manual, staff contact lists, updating and managing forms and information binders used at reception
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment and tidy/secure reception area
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year college or related experiential learning
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and a professional and friendly manner with visitors, clients, volunteers, and staff
- Ability to be flexible and responsive, and acclimatize quickly to new or challenging situations
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult and/or challenging situations, including activation of Emergency Response codes
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Outlook
- Exercise mature judgment and able to work with minimum supervision
- Proficiency in French at the novice/elementary level or above is preferred
Salary Range: $25.89 - $28.57

TVCC works to support children and their families to achieve the highest possible quality of life. TVCC aims to assist our clients to be their best! TVCC serves around 11,000 children, youth and their families every year through a wide range of services.
Many of our services are provided in all ten counties in Southwestern Ontario. Clients range in age from birth to 19. Services offered support a range of special needs / disabilities including physical disability, communication disorders, developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders.
