About the role
Summary:
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events, participates in “short term” assignments and seasonal events to support the store as needed throughout the year.
Every holiday season, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s transform our stores into a festive wonderland with fun and games. Our Seasonal Events Associates act as “Santa’s Elves” executing the Santa’s Wonderland event, providing families with a free studio-quality photo with Santa, and facilitating various family games activities to help create unforgettable memories for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
- Provide a legendary experience for every customer and promote Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s programs.
- Perform duties associated with store events.
- Use point-of-sale and inventory computer systems to accurately and quickly complete customer transactions following all policies, including those requiring identification and age checks.
- Process customer payment using debit, credit card, gift cards, and cash.
- Respond and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
- Keep work area clean, neat and safe at all times.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures.
- Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate.
Qualifications:

One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.

Ability to use good judgment and logic.

Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.

Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset.
Starting Pay Rate: $17.85 - $20.25
