What you'll do
Our Finance team plays a key role in helping us stay competitive in the ever-changing retail environment by providing accurate, timely, and high-quality financial planning & reporting, analysis, and advice. Reporting to the AVP, FP&A CTR, Specialty Banners, IT and Corporate Functions, this role will lead efficiency improvements during a period of significant transformation, help drive the organization to achieve its financial and strategic targets by providing financial insights though partnering with business clients.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of FP&A to support our CTR and Corporate Function teams by delivering seamless and timely forward looking financial and business information. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive change management initiatives, have excellent leadership capabilities and be able to manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables at once. This role is accountable for developing the talent on the FP&A team through instilling a passion for continuous improvement and professional development.
- Be a leader of change – challenging current approaches to the team’s analysis and fostering new ways of approaching business questions
- Lead the preparation of meaningful and innovative performance reporting that communicates the story behind the financial performance to senior management
- Lead the forecasting and planning of operating expenses primarily personnel for Canadian Tire Retail and Corporate functions
- Act as a trusted finance adviser to the business - partner with key stakeholders to support decision making with financial analysis, develop understanding of major financial performance drivers and assist business decision makers in the development of action plans to meet financial goals and mitigate risks
- Provide leadership and overall direction by leading and fostering a high-performance team of analysts with a continuous improvement mindset and inclusive working environment
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure the financial impacts of key strategic initiatives are accurately reflected within our financial plans and forecasts
- Bring efficiencies to the reporting and forecasting and planning processes
What you bring

- Reporting and forecasting experience, as well as experience with financial modeling
- University degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- 5 to 7+ years progressive experience in finance roles, including management experience
- Professional accounting/financial designation (CPA, CFA), or Post Graduate Degree (MBA) considered an asset
- Experience using and creating dashboards though Power BI considered an asset
