Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Stores for all processes and procedures and to Manager Production in Montreal for all administrative and work load requirements, the Stores person is responsible to maintain an accurate inventory by making sure that all material taken is charged out.

Responsibilities

Inventory:

  • Receive and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials.
  • Store parts for inventory in alpha numerical sequence
  • Ensure parts and materials are stored by batch (lot) number
  • Ensure lot numbers are identified on bulk materials (sheet metal, cans etc.)
  • Maintain and keep track of movements in and out of the tool crib
  • Maintain the parts location in the computer
  • Issue parts on a first in, first out basis or based on the transaction requirements
  • Perform cycle or full inventory counts as requested
  • Review and process weekly / monthly reports as per the related SPP

Customer service:

Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal usage, ensuring the procedures required by the JD Edwards system are followed exactly

Miscellaneous:

  • Store parts ordered for specific work orders by job number in a designated area
  • Keep stores tidy and clean
  • Perform shipping and receiving or other duties (dispatch, driver, etc.) as required
  • May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load or unload transport goods

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • Valid driver's license

  • Available to work onsite full-time
