About the role
The Maintenance Coordinator located at the Centerport yard is primarily responsible for coordinating the Mobile Technician team to maximize repair efficiency and improve equipment readiness. They deliver outstanding customer service to our Drivers, and the Operations teams by scheduling equipment based on priority and providing accurate, timely updates. Safety is always at the forefront of all their decisions; the Centerport MC ensures that Technicians are following our protocols and maintaining their equipment appropriately.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and schedule mobile maintenance repairs to maximize technician efficiency and equipment readiness
- Create and manage repair orders, ensuring accurate prioritization, parts usage, and system updates
- Assign technicians to repairs based on skill set, urgency, and operational impact
- Communicate equipment status, repair progress, and schedule changes with Operations and Drivers
- Monitor DVIRs, satellite reports, EDVIRs, and maintenance requests to identify and action required repairs
- Ensure preventive maintenance is scheduled, completed on time, and remains in full compliance
- Provide excellent customer service to Drivers and internal stakeholders across multiple communication channels
- Support technician performance, accuracy, and development through review, feedback, and coordination of training
- Maintain organized records, inventory accuracy, and compliance documentation
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a maintenance administrative/coordination role
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to use and learn computer software and programs
- Strong problem solving skills; recognize, assess, report and provide solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
