About the Role We’re looking for a Junior Data Analytics Developer to join our talented and collaborative analytics team in Calgary.

This opportunity is ideal for an early‑career professional who enjoys solving problems with data, loves learning new technologies, and wants to make a meaningful impact in an organization that values innovation and teamwork. You’ll work under the guidance of the Data Engineering and Analytics Team Lead, contributing to production dashboards, reporting solutions, and data quality initiatives that support our clinicians and operations teams nationwide.

What You’ll Do Analytics & Reporting

• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI (Microsoft Fabric).
• Develop and refine semantic data models for consistent, reliable reporting.
• Translate business questions into actionable analytics solutions that drive clarity and insight.

Data & Platform Collaboration

• Partner with data engineers, architects, and product managers to deliver scalable business intelligence solutions.
• Support and optimize end‑to‑end data flows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Work extensively with SQL, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric for data querying and analysis.

Data Quality & Governance

• Participate in data validation, reconciliation, and documentation initiatives.
• Adhere to strong data governance and security practices — particularly when handling sensitive or patient‑related information.

Enablement & Support

• Create engaging documentation and provide training to help business users get the most from analytics tools.
• Participate in iterative feedback cycles to continuously improve reporting products.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting development.
• Proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, and performance optimization).
• Solid understanding of Power BI (Microsoft Fabric) and data visualization best practices.
• Experience with DAX, ETL/ELT processes, and relational data modeling.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Exposure to scripting or automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn.

Some Nice to Haves

• Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI integrations.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub and version control.
• Experience transforming data using dbt.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate or workflow automation.
• Background in healthcare, dental, or other regulated data environments.
• Exposure to agile or ticket‑based development workflows.
