About the role

Air Unlimited Inc. is seeking a Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills. This role is responsible for managing the parts desk, purchasing materials and parts, maintaining inventory control, and providing consistent, reliable support to customers and internal teams. With their technical and organizational expertise, the Parts Advisor will play a key role in enhancing our company’s image and delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in person and by phone, identifying and assessing their needs to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Process parts orders accurately, including pricing, payment collection, and transaction completion.
  • Fulfill customer orders from available stock and coordinate special orders as needed.
  • Provide accurate information on part availability, pricing, and back-ordered items; follow up with customers to ensure timely updates.
  • Read manuals or research to determine replacement part numbers, pricing, and suitable alternatives or modifications.
  • Liaise with the Service, Purchasing, and Sales departments to support order processing and related transactions.
  • Support the Preventative Maintenance Department by assisting with scheduling, quoting parts and components, and entering preventative maintenance contracts into tracking systems.
  • Register unit sales (air compressors and generators) and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
  • Explain and promote technical products and service offerings to customers.
  • Issue purchase orders and maintain organized records.
  • Keep the parts department clean, organized, and efficiently operated.
  • Monitor inventory levels, communicate with the purchasing team regarding restocking needs, and assist with inventory audits.
  • Coordinate the pickup and delivery of parts with warehouse staff when required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Self-starter with a high level of motivation and initiative.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET, EET, CET, or EIT) is considered an asset.
  • Experience in parts or service coordination in an industrial or mechanical environment is an asset.
  • Motivated team player with a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
