Overview of role:
This is a high-impact role at the heart of WestJet’s operational transformation. As the bridge between leadership, performance advisors, and operational teams, you will directly influence decision-making, drive execution discipline, and provide the insights that ensure initiatives deliver measurable value. Your work will shape the success of key transformation programs and contribute to WestJet’s ability to meet its strategic goals.

WestJet is seeking a Senior Analyst, Operational Performance to support the strategic execution of operational transformation initiatives. This role combines program oversight with advanced analytics to ensure initiatives are executed efficiently, aligned with strategy, and deliver measurable outcomes. Acting as a key partner to the Senior Manager, Operational Performance and a bridge between performance advisors, you will provide data-driven insights and reporting that enable leadership to make informed, timely decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support portfolio-level decision-making through scenario analysis, initiative prioritization, and reporting to senior and executive leadership.

  • Collaborate with performance advisors to track initiatives, evaluate cost/benefit outcomes, and ensure transformation projects deliver measurable value.

  • Maintain and update the operational transformation roadmap, aligning initiatives, dependencies, and resources with the enterprise plan.

  • Lead benefit tracking and post-implementation reviews to ensure outcomes are measured against strategic goals and inform continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards and scorecards that track initiative progress, benefits realization, and operational KPIs, providing leadership with actionable insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree or post-secondary diploma in Business, Analytics, Operations, or related field.

  • 6–8 years’ experience in operational analytics, transformation programs, performance reporting, or supporting enterprise programs/portfolios.

  • Strong background in performance measurement, portfolio/program tracking, and stakeholder reporting.

  • Advanced Power BI and Excel proficiency (required).

  • Experience with initiative scoring, ROI/value measurement, and KPI development.

  • Ability to communicate complex information visually and verbally to senior audiences.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills; experience working with senior leadership.
