Expert DevOps AWS
Company Description

We are seeking an Expert AWS DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native infrastructures and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, reliability, security, and continuous improvement, while collaborating closely with development and operations teams in an agile environment.
Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructures.
Build, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
Partner with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices and improve software delivery processes.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS environments, including logging, observability, performance, and cost management.
Manage AWS services and configurations, including IAM, networking, compute, storage, and container orchestration.
Ensure cloud solutions align with security standards, compliance requirements, and AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending innovative DevOps and cloud optimization solutions.
Support incident resolution and root-cause analysis to maintain operational excellence and system reliability.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Minimum 6 years of experience in DevOps engineering, including significant hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Strong expertise with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and related technologies.
Proven experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience supporting development teams in adopting DevOps methodologies and best practices.
Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, and compliance frameworks.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in both English and French.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
Familiarity with cost optimization and FinOps best practices in AWS environments.

CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. This range is determined based on several factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific circumstances of each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $120,000. This position is currently open.
