Reporting to the Director, Distribution and Operations, the Regional Manager, Distribution Operations and his team will be responsible for maintaining the efficient operations of the main distribution center in Montreal, as well as managing regional distribution operations in Quebec.
The incumbent will organize, manage, and control all operations of the Montreal Distribution Center (DC), which delivers parts to 13 warehouses in Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces.
The incumbent will use, monitor, develop, and analyze a suite of KPIs to ensure optimal operations of the Montreal DC, and will implement continuous improvement initiatives to constantly increase the efficiency of the Montreal DC, as well as the 3 Quebec warehouses (Montreal, Boucherville, and Quebec City) by optimizing financial, physical, systemic, and human resources.
The incumbent will be required to establish clear, achievable, and ambitious daily, weekly, and annual objectives for their direct reports, both at the DC and regional levels. His modern and agile leadership, seasoned skills, and highly collaborative spirit are essential to excel in this role, carefully balancing DC operations and oversight of the Quebec region, while collaborating with internal and external partners, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities:
- Understand and improve the Montreal Distribution Center's operations by monitoring, improving, and analyzing key performance indicators in the supply of 13 warehouses in Eastern Canada, which in turn must timely supply inventory to a network of service centers (corporate, franchised, and independent stores):
o Participate in the development of optimization strategies for the Montreal DC and the improvement of standardized operational and business processes.
o Continuously improve the Montreal DC's financial performance by establishing budgets, labor requirements, expenses, and other performance metrics.
o Ensure inventory accuracy across the distribution network.
- Responsible for optimizing all deliveries and routes to achieve the most efficient distribution while minimizing costs.
- Minimize all damages, breakages, inventory shortages, and returns for all warehouses in Quebec and the Montreal DC.
- Closely manage inbound logistics from the various supply entry points (port, rail, or road) in collaboration with the Supply Chain, Transportation, and Logistics team to minimize the impact on receiving for the Montreal DC.
- Must research, manage, and minimize the use of outside storage by leveling the reception of supplier arrivals.
- Be actively involved in the Quebec region's performance in terms of wholesale distribution to corporate and franchise service centers, as well as sales to Independent Service Providers (ISPs).
- Act as the point of contact when the ISP or Sales reports delivery opportunities or issues in Quebec.
- Provide leadership and motivation to all employees under his/her responsibility in a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
- Plan, organize, and supervise the workforce of the Montreal DC, the Montreal virtual warehouse, as well as the Quebec City and Boucherville warehouses.
- Manage, supervise, and coach a team of supervisors/managers to manage the Montreal distribution center or warehouses.
- Indirectly manage and optimize the work of a team of customer service representatives who support the entire Quebec region.
- Inspire, develop, and engage a diverse and skilled team while developing and building tangible development plans, training programs, coaching, and succession plans.
- Establish a high-performance culture based on productivity, teamwork, quality, precision, and customer focus, as well as employee health, safety, and well-being.
Key Qualifications and Competencies:
- University degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or operations management (Business/Commerce).
- Approximately 15 years of experience in the distribution sector, including approximately 10 years in supply chain and wholesale operations with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience in a similar position within a national organization (a definite asset)
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (advanced)
- Experience with warehouse management systems (Optimiza, Gaines, Oracle)
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both spoken and written.
- Operational expert and natural organizer who connects the strategic plan to field operations and employees.
- Proven leadership and strong talent management skills
- Possess excellent strategic skills, a clear sense of priorities, a clear team spirit, and a customer focus (internal and external)
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
