Our finance team is currently seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the firm's accounting operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will join a motivated and dedicated team that takes great pride in delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership for the accounting and finance function by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial information Oversee the full accounting cycle, including period-end closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial control processes Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, as well as management reports for the parent company Lead, motivate, and develop the accounting team by fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement Act as a business partner to management by providing meaningful financial analyses and recommendations to support decision-making Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and the effectiveness of the internal control framework Coordinate external audit activities and ensure the quality and compliance of audit and assurance documentation Oversee the organization’s ongoing tax obligations (sales taxes, government remittances, and tax compliance) and serve as the primary point of contact with external advisors Be responsible for short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasting Lead the optimization, automation, and standardization of financial processes to improve operational efficiency and the quality of financial information Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s financial structure and implement the processes, tools, and controls required to support its growth Play a key role in the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and organizational performance analyses Ensure the consistency, relevance, and quality of financial analyses produced across the organization Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, vendors, government authorities, and other strategic partners Contribute to the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management, the executive committee, and the Board of Directors Lead or contribute to strategic projects and financial transformation initiatives that support the firm’s business objectives Oversee the governance of financial and accounting systems by ensuring data integrity, process reliability, access management, and the ongoing enhancement of tools supporting financial operations
Requirements And Skills
CPA designation required A minimum of 5 years of significant experience in a Controller role or a similar position Full professional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken Experience in a professional services environment is considered an asset Proven experience leading and developing teams, with a collaborative and empowering leadership style Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and IBM Analytics is considered an asset Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and a keen interest in leveraging artificial intelligence in the workplace Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment Strong sense of autonomy and resourcefulness High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to tailor communications to different audiences; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines Versatility and flexibility.
