AAA Canada is looking for an Senior Engine Mechanic to bring expertise and value to our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair of aircraft engines (shop, on-wing, or on-site) within authorized qualifications.
- Carry out engine and module disassembly, assembly, and inspection according to technical documentation and safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, repair or replace components, and conduct functional tests and adjustments.
- Interpret technical manuals, work orders, and engineering drawings to ensure correct and timely execution of tasks.
- Identify and correct defects, ensuring compliance with procedures, quality, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.
Skills and qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- College diploma or vocational training in aviation maintenance required
- Bachelor’s degree desirable
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with CFM56-7B and LEAP-1B engines
- Expert-level knowledge of CFM56-7B and/or LEAP-1B systems
- Proficient in MS Office
- Fluent in English (reading and writing); German or French an asset
- Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and safety awareness
- Excellent teamwork, flexibility, and reliability under time pressure
- Physically fit – able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in noisy environments
- Willingness to travel, work shift schedules, and perform overtime
