About the role
Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Yard Attendant to join our Home Centre team on a part-time temporary, up to 24 hours per week (or more or less due to operational needs) basis at our location in St. Paul, AB. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor .
What you’ll do:
- Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
- Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and displaying products.
- Work with customers and contractors to answer inquiries about lumber and yard products.
- Receiving of product in the yard, in store and complete the required paperwork.
- Loading & delivering home centre items to customers.
- Provide outstanding co-op experiences for member-owners and guests.
- Follow proper maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
- Be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
- Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
- You have Grade 10 education or equivalent retail and/or customer service experience.
- You have valid class 5 driver’s license and are able to pass a drug and alcohol test and provide a clean standard driving abstract.
- You’re able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.
- You’re honest, dependable, and driven to succeed.
- You believe in collaboration and value diverse perspectives to solve problems and achieve common goals.
