Role: The Poultry Production Worker is responsible for processing, packaging, inspecting, and handling poultry products in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to food safety, quality, animal welfare, and workplace safety standards while meeting production targets. \n
Responsibilities: Perform assigned tasks on the production line safely and efficiently. Process, trim, cut, debone, package, and inspect poultry products. Ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory specifications. Maintain production speed while following quality standards. Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and CFIA requirements. Keep workstations clean and sanitary throughout the shift. Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards. Work cooperatively with team members to achieve production goals. Follow all company policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions. Assist in other production areas as required.
Requirements: Previous food processing or manufacturing experience is an asset. Poultry processing experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a cold environment (0–10°C). Comfortable handling raw poultry products. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as required. Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Working Conditions Poultry processing facility. Cold and wet environment. Exposure to raw poultry products and food production equipment. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Shift work, including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
