At Spectra, we're committed to delivering high-quality aluminum products through innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. With five manufacturing facilities across Ontario, we're growing our team and looking for a Tooling Coordinator to help keep our operations running safely, efficiently and on schedule.

As our Tooling Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in supporting production by ensuring the right tooling is available, performing reliably and continuously improving. You'll work closely with Engineering, Operations, Production, Sales and external vendors to coordinate tooling repairs, maintenance and new die builds - helping reduce downtime and keep production moving.

What You'll Do Review die designs, engineering drawings and customer blueprints to ensure tooling requirements are met Coordinate die repairs, preventative maintenance, modifications and new die builds to support production schedules Monitor tooling inventory, condition and production readiness to ensure dies are available when needed Investigate tooling performance issues using root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions Track tooling performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and overall manufacturing performance Partner with tooling vendors to obtain quotations, manage lead times and coordinate deliveries Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate tooling status and production readiness Support the Die Shop by ensuring tooling is inspected, prepared and available to meet production schedules Maintain tooling records, documentation and workflow using internal software systems Support onboarding and training while promoting a safe, organized and continuous improvement-focused work environment

Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Experience coordinating tooling, maintenance or production activities is considered an asset Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a related technical field is considered an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software systems Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis or continuous improvement methodologies is considered an asset
