Overview of the role:

WestJet is seeking a Specialist to take ownership of the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) program’s delivery by actively monitoring supplier performance, leading evaluations, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives for WestJet’s key suppliers. Reporting to the Senior Manager - SPM, this role is accountable for ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving value creation within the Supplier Performance Management framework.

###Key deliverables include:

  • Develop and execute SPM framework elements — own scorecards, KPI tracking, and performance reporting with actionable insights.
  • Lead supplier business reviews and performance monitoring, closing gaps to contract standards and driving accountability to obligations and KPIs.
  • Manage Supplier Improvement initiatives, achieving defined performance targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and resolve supplier and supply chain risks to safeguard business continuity.
  • Develop, maintain and improve performance systems, tools, dashboards, and value tracking systems for optimal accuracy and efficiency.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure "One WestJet Voice" with strategic suppliers.
  • Mentor peers on stakeholder engagement and SRM best practices while advancing team capabilities.

###Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, contracts, supplier management, or supply chain roles.

  • Experience defining KPIs, scorecards, and improvement plans; knows how to run supplier QBRs and drive actions.

  • Deep understanding of SPM metrics: on-time delivery, quality, cost variance, responsiveness, supplier risk scoring.

  • Experience with and be able to deliver supplier portals, KPIs, scorecards, supplier data analysis, and reporting tools.

  • Familiarity with S2P, ERP, Maintenance systems (e.g., JDE, Trax eMRO, Coupa).

  • Solid understanding of Python/SQL, AI/Automation, ETL/Power Query, BI/Visuals, Microsoft Power Platform, API integration requirements

  • SCMP, CPSM, or related certification an asset

  • Aviation procurement and operations exposure a plus.
