The department of surgery is seeking a Vascular Surgeon to support and lead the organizations desire to become a Level 3 Vascular Centre. The successful candidate will be working with a strong, supportive and collegial group of colleagues in a two-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality, comprehensive clinical services.
Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to work within interdisciplinary teams. Experience in Quality Improvement is also an asset.
Skills – Abilities – Experience
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and growing vascular services preferred
- Clinical expertise in diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of vascular disease
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member within a group environment
- Proven attendance record.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.

Education – Certification – License
- Medical degree approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) required.
- Post Graduate training in Vascular Surgery
- Certification in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCSC).
- Canadian Medical Protection Association or equivalent in good standing.
