Status: Full Time

Reporting to the Manager, Development the incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining system integrations across enterprise applications. This role ensures seamless data flow between systems, supports business processes, and provides technical expertise for integration projects. The incumbent will analyze requirements, develop solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable integrations.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead design and development of integration solutions using APIs, ETL tools and middleware
  • Designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting programs for data migration and system interfaces.
  • Ensure integrations meet performance, security and compliance standards
  • Analyzing business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Work with vendors and external partners for data exchange and system connectivity
  • Resolving unusual situations that occur with interrelated systems or programs by determining the nature, scope, and priority of the problem, developing and implementing a solution, or providing functional guidance to other college staff to correct the problem
  • Assessing user expertise in order to provide the appropriate level of leadership, assistance, training, advice, and guidance, including working with users to revise procedures to accommodate the new or revised automated system
  • Keeping current with technology, obtaining knowledge through documentation and / or courses

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successfully completed a three-year diploma / degree in a relevant field of study that may include, but is not limited to Computer Science
  • Courses in database and web applications
  • Eight years’ experience in a similar position performing software programming and development where duties included those listed above
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Data Migration – migrating data from legacy systems into the ERP application using ETL tools and techniques
    • Integrations and Interfaces (inbound and outbound) – gathering interface/integration requirements, design and development, configuration, quality and assurance and production support
    • Web-based software development C#, ASP.Net, Java
    • Software development life cycle
    • Version control systems and methodologies
    • Source control (GIT repository)
    • Other technologies (e.g. HTML5, jQuery, Groovy Grails/Java, XML/XSLT/XAML, PowerShell, PL/SQL)
  • Communication skills (written and oral) to liaise with various stakeholders and document processes
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving, and evaluation skills to analyze and translate clients’ business requirements
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Experience with API management, ETL tools, student information systems, ERP, and workflow automation systems
