Job Description Brief Job Description: The Field Technician
- Responsible for preparing and executing interventions by gathering necessary documents, technical files, and parts while participating in preparatory meetings. You will plan and oversee interventions, commission equipment following procedures, and conduct electrical, mechanical, and functional tests. Your role includes performing electrical measurements, battery formatting, and equipment maintenance under service contracts. Additionally, you will diagnose and resolve faults, provide technical support, manage stock, and validate intervention reports. You will also handle Oracle debriefing, process orders, make technical recommendations, and assess customer spare parts inventory.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: (This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)
- Prepare intervention to realize (gather the documents, technical files, necessary parts, and participate in the preparatory meetings)
- Realize or check the detailed planning of the intervention
- Commissioning equipment according to existing procedures
- Realize electrical, mechanical (isolation test) or functional (alarm, failover) tests
- Perform electrical measurements (on site test sheet, electrical and design)
- Prepare the battery formatting and test the discharge of the battery
- Perform equipment maintenance as part of maintenance contracts
- Form maintenance technicians of customers companies
- Troubleshooting intervention
- Realize fault diagnosis.
- Realize mending.
- Refer technical support to troubleshooting pieces needs.
- Stock management
- Present and validate the intervention report to the hierarchical superior.
- Oracle debriefing
- Develop accepting orders.
- Make technical recommendations.
- Identify technical needs through the TIC (Commercial Information Transfer given to the after sales service commercial manager)
- Check spare parts inventory at the customer.
Qualifications Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor + 2 in electrotechnics engineering or maintenance
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
- Electrical authorization type B2
- Battery empowerment type B2T
- An adequate level in English required
