JOB DESCRIPTION

Terms:

● Full Time

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to early childhood education and will

be responsible for:

● Teaching the Grade 3 curriculum in a developmentally appropriate and engaging

manner

● Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues within and across the school

● Full Participation in student-learning and co-curricular activities

● Supporting the development of foundational literacy and numeracy skills through

guided play-based and inquiry-based learning, and being able to follow an established

literacy program

● Using ongoing observation and sound assessment practices to monitor student progress

and inform instruction

● Collaborating with learning support staff to support diverse learners and implement

accommodations where necessary

● Supporting the development of positive social skills, emotional regulation, and respectful behaviour

Extra-Curricular:

● Demonstrated commitment to co-curricular endeavours is an expectation.

Priority Consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following:

● Current pastoral reference confirming that he/she is a practicing Roman Catholic

● Certificate of Qualification issued by the BC Ministry of Education

Salary Range: $66 738 - $115 202, dependent on experience and qualifications
