POSITION : Desktop Support Engineer
JOB TYPE : Direct Hire (W2) with NSC Global
START DATE : IMMEDIATELY
Responsibilities Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of Starlink devices in the IT Asset Management (ITAM) system.
- Update inventory with additions, changes, and decommissions of devices in ServiceNow
- Perform monthly validation of discovery data from with existing inventory and update AMDB/CMDB
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of Starlink devices to/from various field and office locations.
- Ensure all assets have assigned owners and users; manage asset lifecycle including refresh and disposal
- Generate and respond to inventory reports and audit requests. End-User Support
- Provide deskside and remote support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot OS and Software Center issues; escalate to team when needed
- Support device setup, configuration, and deployment for new hires, refreshes, and break/fix scenarios.
- Handle hardware loaner requests and asset retrievals using ServiceNow workflows
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience :
- 3+ years of experience in IT inventory management and end-user support.
- Familiarity with ITAM tools, and ServiceNow.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift and ship IT equipment as needed.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware.
- Experience with desktop operating systems including Microsoft, and Mac OS X
- Extensive application support experience.
- Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.
- Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Strong documentation skills.

- Physical: Able to sit at a desk and grasp writing instruments. Able to manipulate fingers to perform keyboard strokes on a computer. Mobile between buildings. Must also be able to lift 40lbs without issue and move it from under a desk to a cart and vice versa.
