As a Renewal Retention Specialist , you'll leverage your knowledge of personal insurance, regional market insights, and technical skills to make a real difference—focusing on client retention and preparing clients for each renewal cycle. You'll play a key part in Westland’s commitment to outstanding service, developing your front-line underwriting abilities, and gaining hands-on experience throughout the sales and client life cycles.

Why We’ll Love You

  • Building authentic client relationships comes naturally to you
  • Master time manager, you can prioritize your workload while demonstrating confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong understanding of provincial markets, underwriting criteria, and company portals
  • 3+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience
  • General Level 2 Insurance License or currently working towards level 2 and working towards CAIB/CIP (financial support provided!)

Once Here, You'll

  • Complete renewal reviews and provide advice to either clients or other advisors to identify and address potential gaps in coverage, with a focus on upselling, cross-selling and retention.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Maintain and process policy renewals according to Westland’s standards.
  • Assist broader team of advisors and management in providing feedback on procedures, market trends, changes in underwriting guidelines and other industry updates in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Support with reporting, additional projects and/or administrative work as needed.
  • Train new employees across the organization on retention standards and renewal workflows.
