Work Status: Full-Time Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid) About the role: Working closely with the Senior Publicist and reporting to the Senior Publicity Manager, the Publicist will lead the development and execution of media and influencer strategies for Global, W Network, Showcase, and STACKTV and their slate of hit original and acquired series. Responsibilities include leading media and influencer relations, writing and distributing press materials, coordinating publicity events, junkets, and set visits, securing high-impact coverage and talent opportunities, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, programming, digital, and social teams to maximize audience engagement and brand awareness.

You will contribute by

Develop and execute creative, strategic communications plans for designated series, ensuring alignment with Corus’ overall business objectives Lead publicity efforts including media pitching, and the coordination and execution of press junkets and influencer programs to build awareness and grow audiences for Global, W Network, Showcase, and STACKTV Oversee and draft publicity materials including press releases, key messaging documents, press kits, presentations, and reports Develop and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, production partners, international distributors, and unit publicists to ensure timely delivery of promotional assets and effective execution of publicity strategies Build and maintain strong relationships with media locally, nationally, and internationally, as well as with key social influencers Manage event planning related to publicity initiatives across the portfolio Support issues and crisis communications as required Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure innovative, fully integrated campaigns for priority networks and series Represent the Publicity team in cross-functional meetings and clearly communicate strategies and results to internal audiences Provide publicity support for additional business priorities as required Lead or support special projects tied to broader departmental initiatives Skills and experience you will bring: Undergraduate degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field Passionate and knowledgeable about the Canadian broadcasting and media industries Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in media relations, publicity, or communications, preferably within entertainment, broadcasting, or an agency environment Superior written and verbal communication skills Experience with talent relations considered an asset Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to connect publicity efforts to overall business goals Proven track record of executing out-of-the-box ideas and securing strong, multi-platform media coverage Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Established relationships with entertainment media across print, TV, radio, and digital platforms (including influencers) Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Self-starter who is solutions-focused, results-driven, adaptable, and flexible Strong technical proficiency, including MS Office and tools such as Benchmark, WordPress, MRP, Cision, Canva, or similar platforms Application Deadline: July 29, 2026 Every day, we work hard to become an even more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace that supports the well-being of our people and makes a positive difference in our communities.
