About the Role
We are seeking PhD-level Engineering experts to help evaluate and improve the performance of advanced conversational AI systems. These systems are used in a wide range of professional and everyday scenarios, and their effectiveness depends on providing accurate, clear, and helpful responses to user queries.
This role focuses on evaluating how AI models reason about and explain engineering concepts across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and refine prompts to guide AI behavior in engineering scenarios
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and applied reasoning
- Fact-check engineering claims using reliable sources and domain expertise
- Annotate model responses by identifying strengths and areas for improvement
- Assess clarity, structure, and explanation quality for different audiences
- Ensure responses follow evaluation guidelines and standards
- Apply structured evaluation frameworks consistently
Requirements
Essential
-PhD in Engineering or closely related field
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical & Physical Systems Engineering
- Electrical, Electronic & Computer Engineering
- Chemical, Materials & Process Engineering
- Civil, Environmental & Infrastructure Engineering
- Experience using large language models (LLMs)
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with applied research or engineering systems design
- Background in AI model evaluation, RLHF, or data annotation
- Teaching or mentoring experience in engineering topics
- Familiarity with structured evaluation frameworks or benchmarks
Contract Details
- Independent contractor role
- Fully remote work with flexible schedule
- Weekly payments based on services rendered
- Projects may be extended or shortened depending on project needs and performance
